After being outed by Australia’s rating board, Warhammer 40,000: Kill Team has officially been announced. It’ll be an XBLA/PSN primer for the retail-bound 40K: Space Marine, a practice that’s starting to get quite trendy.
Kill Team is an arcade shooter in which players will get to choose their Space Marine chapter (from six options) and pick from four classes — Sternguard Veteran, Tech Marine, Vanguard Veteran and Librarian. Two-player co-op and weapon upgrades are promised.
The premise sees a squad of Marines sent to destroy an Ork Kroozer as it makes its way to a Forge World. As well as Orks, players will have to face an onslaught of Tyranids.
Completion of the first chapter will see you net a free Power Sword for Space Marine when it launches. Snazzy!
