Xbox mouthpiece Larry Hryb and engineer Richard Irving preview the latest version of the Xbox One OS in the video above and it looks better than ever, if not a bit gray — hopefully you can change that. Looks like the Xbox team has taken the best parts of the Xbox 360 guide and implemented it into a guide sidebar that appears to run far faster than snapping an app. 

I’m signed up for this preview version of the dashboard, though I don’t know if I’ll update since apparently it has issues with some games and apps. Once this is available and I at least get the all-clear the games I care about are playable, I’ll be sure to test it out on one of our Xbox Ones and let you know what I think. I do hope they eventually let you decide if a single press pulls up the guide or goes home — double pressing just seems so strenuous.
