Now we bring you the first episode of Mortal Kombat Legacy, the live-action web series that many have been clamoring for since Kevin Tancharoen’s independently produced proof of concept video from last year. In this first installment, we’re being eased in to things with some reasonably easy to relate to characters.
When Sonya Blade reports in about a shipment of stolen robotic weapons being prepared (which are totally not going to be relevant to the story later), Jackson Briggs and Kurtis Stryker think that they have a shot at capturing the elusive criminal mastermind, Kano. Kano has other plans, ones that involve the shooting of a lot of federal agents.
It’s pretty good. Not amazing, but expectations are probably pretty high. Warner Bros. have clearly put some money behind this and I like what I see so far. New episodes will be coming every week and I suspect I will be keeping myself appraised of the storyline.
