Not many would have expected to get 89 and 88-rated Season 1 cards in their College Football 25 Ultimate Team squads on the first day of early access. Yet, the unimaginable has happened, and some members of the community have managed to make the most of it.

Early reports hit social media, showing that some of the “Conference Stories” Packs contained some Season 1 players with fairly high ratings. Under normal circumstances, this shouldn’t have happened. While EA Sports was quick to patch the error from the packs, some already made the most of this opportunity.

This particular pack is currently available in the store for 43,000 coins or 750 points. If you open it now, you will get a few player cards, with one of them being 80+ OVR Conference Stories players. If you’re lucky, this could be an 82-rated item.

When the glitch was active, players managed to pull Season 1 items from this pack, with overall ratings between 87 and 90. Getting cards like these when the full release hasn’t even taken place is unbelievable, judging by the pack odds in EA’s other Ultimate Team modes. Additionally, players managed to buy the packs several times, and they received several of these outstanding CUT cards.

As mentioned earlier, EA Sports fixed the bug rapidly. While the packs are available right now, there probably won’t be any more 90-rated drops coming out of it.

Lucky for those few who caught the glitch, it’s almost certain that they won’t lose their cards. Something similar happened earlier this year in EA FC 24 when many players managed to get a TOTY Lionel Messi card in Ultimate Team. EA Sports typically doesn’t remove any items from Ultimate Team squads.

Just been told they made them BND and they only quicksell for 2k

Actually a perfect fix and was what I asked for

Congrats to those that got 1 each for their team WWWWWWW

However, a tweet from Madden and CFB content creator Cook stated that some of the high-overall items have been converted into BND versions. This will allow players to play with these cards, but prevent market manipulation this early into the game’s lifespan.
