$15 a month
Recommended VideosSling TV is a promising service with some issues, but it’s getting there. This week, the $20 a month cord-cutting network will add HBO to its lineup for an additional cost of $15, putting it in line with HBO Now. It will be available on Saturday, right before the Game of Thrones season five premiere on April 12.
It’s important to note that although Sling’s HBO will have on-demand functionality, it will not grant you access to HBO Now, an app that will run on PCs and Apple TVs, with planned future platforms after the latter’s timed exclusivity deal runs out. Although it’s not ideal, it’s yet another way to skirt the prior requirement of a cable subscription for HBO Go.
