Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion, the long-awaited standalone expansion to the 2008 4X strategy game, is due out June 12. The expansion will be adding three new factions, two new classes of ships, an additional battleship for each race, as well as dozens of new abilities and upgraded visuals. Pre-ordering now, either through the game’s website or through Steam will get you instant access to the second stage of the beta. 

Additionally, a trailer showing some footage from the beta was released earlier today. As a huge fan of the original game as well as the two smaller expansions, I’m really excited to see how the new factions play.
