Steam is having an extra bit of fun with its summer-themed sale this year. Based on the number of emails we got from you guys about this — thanks for those, by the way — many of you are well aware.
For everyone else, the sale will last through July 10, with daily deals along the way. Game bundles and entire publisher catalogs are also on sale, but you shouldn’t buy these until the very last day, if at all, to avoid overpaying for individual titles.
In a neat twist, each day there will be specific achievements that can be earned for prize tickets. These tickets can then be spent on in-game items and content, so there is some level of incentive to actually play the games rather than to simply buy them because they are on sale.
