Just the other day I was thinking “Man, there aren’t enough Foo Fighters songs in Rock Band. Only 25 playable tracks is just not doing it for me.” Harmonix, as usual, has heard my thoughts; next week it comes four steps closer to justifiably changing the name of Rock Band 3 to Dave Grohl Simulator 9000.

Four Foo Fighters tracks hit the Rock Band store next week: “Long Road to Ruin,” “Rope,” “Stacked Actors,” and “Walk.” That full pack will run you $6.99/560 MS Points/700 Wii Points; you can buy each track alone for $1.99/160 MS Points/200 Wii Points. “Rope” is upgradable to “Pro” for an additional 99 cents, and Foo Fighters legacy tracks “Monkey Wrench” and “The Pretender” are also going Pro for the same price.

Joining Foo Fighters next week will be Run-DMC’s “King of Rock” and Lordi’s “Hard Rock Hallelujah.” $1.99/160 MS Points/200 Wii Points per song, as usual.

Bonus details on some upcoming downloadable content: there’s a Pantera four-pack on the way. The news comes out of the latest Rock Band podcast, where it was revealed that “5 Minutes Alone,” “I’m Broken,” “Mouth For War,” and “Walk” will land on May 19. Take note that’s a Thursday, not the usual Tuesday that songs are released. Why? I’m told “server maintenance” is to blame.
