I know it’s easy to draw the Digimon–Pokémon connection, but does anybody else remember when Digimon was just a spin-off of Tamagotchi? Exact same virtual pet raising, only now you could do battle with the little critters. How did we go from that to this!? How come they never showed the kids cleaning up the Digimons’ feces or waking up in the middle of the night because the damn things were hungry?

Where was I? Oh yeah, Pokémon. If nothing else, any Digimon could kick any Pokémon’s ass. That’s right. I said it.
