No Pokémon GO event would be complete without a handful of perks and bonuses designed to make players want to dive in and start catching Pokémon. The Unova Global event is no different, and there are several bonuses worth noting.

This event is absolutely crammed with new Pokémon to catch, Research Tasks to work through, Raids to battle through, and of course the ever-important addition of Black and White Kyurem. You’re definitely going to be busy during and after the two-day Unova Global event, but what are the perks of playing during those two days?

Pokémon GO Tour: Unova Global bonuses and features

During the two day event on March 1 and 2, players everywhere will be able to benefit from the following bonuses and features:

  • Egg hatch distance halved
  • 50% trading discount
  • Six Special Trades allowed per day
  • Unova-region Pokémon spawn rate increases
  • Themed Pokémon in Eggs
  • Themed Pokémon in Raid Battles
  • Exclusive attacks available
  • Themed Field Research

On top of that, players will have another chance to obtain a Kyurem that knows the special Charged Attack Glaciate. This attack was only previously available either during the Holiday 2022 event, or if you used a TM to teach the attack. 

During the Unova Global event, players will be able to select between one of two paths of a Special Research task, which they can then complete to unlock rewards and perks specific to that path:

This is important because fusing a Kyurem that knows this attack with either Reshiram or Zekrom will result in the White or Black Kyurem knowing an exclusive attack.

Once you’ve caught some of the featured Pokémon for the Unova Global event, you can get to work evolving them. If you evolve them into any of these Pokémon during the event, they’re likely to have some of the following exclusive attacks:
