One of the best kart racers in years can be played for free this weekend on Steam. Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed is yours for the trying now through Sunday at 1:00pm Pacific.

If you like what you see, the full game is currently on sale for $4.99 until Monday at 10:00am Pacific. This version has a number of exclusive characters, including the Spy, Pyro, and Heavy from Team Fortress 2. (There’s no beating Joe Musashi, though.)

Steam has had its fair share of good games going free for the weekend, but Transformed is one I urge all Sega fans to check out. It single-handedly rekindled my love of kart racing.
