Pirates? Now we’re talking

Recommended Videos

We know directly from Ubisoft that a new Assassin’s Creed is planned for the company’s fiscal year 2014, which starts on April 1, 2013. And now, thanks to some marketing materials shared with Kotaku, we seemingly have confirmation of the rumored pirate setting.

Additionally, Examiner has what it claims to be the first screenshot from the game, as well as details regarding the setting and characters. Reportedly, Black Flag takes place in the Caribbean, stars the father of Haytham Kenway from Assassin’s Creed III, and will be released on this generation’s consoles as well as the upcoming ones.

Say goodbye to “AssCreed,” and hello to “AssFlag.” (Someone else on staff, who will remain nameless, came up with this. I take no responsibility.)
