Look out for a World of Warcraft Classic demo at BlizzCon and at home

Playable at home with a Virtual Ticket this November
Recommended VideosDuring last year’s BlizzCon, attendees first heard about World of Warcraft Classic, Blizzard’s official take on a nostalgic pre-expansion WoW experience. At this year’s event, they’ll be able to play it.
The company is going one step further, albeit with a slight catch. You don’t have to fly all the way out to Anaheim to check out WoW Classic before launch, but you will need a BlizzCon Virtual Ticket.
Blizzard plans to offer a Classic demo to all Virtual Ticket holders that’ll launch on November 2 at “around” 1:00pm Pacific and be playable until November 8 at 10:00am Pacific.
“Players will have a chance to explore and enjoy a limited questing experience through a pair of classic early-level zones—one Horde and one Alliance—and experience firsthand our recreation of the original Azeroth,” noted Blizzard. The ticket also includes access to a pair of cloaks and banners.
The BlizzCon Virtual Ticket will set you back $50 and I won’t judge you for paying up.
As a quick reminder of what exact version WoW Classic is modeled after, Blizzard settled on using patch 1.12 as the foundation since it “represents the most complete version of the classic experience.”
