Large shipment of UK copies of Splatoon stolen, GAME heavily affected

Recommended VideosOur Splatoon review just went up this morning, and a lot of people have been discussing the game in anticipation of Friday’s launch. Unfortunately, a number of community members have brought a disturbing series of events to our attention.
According to many of our UK readers, a large shipment of copies of Splatoon by way of a truck has been stolen. GAME customers have obtained a mass email that notes that they will be unable to honor pre-orders for the game and a potential amiibo pack-in with the Special Edition. Our own Laura Kate Dale has confirmed that the entire stock of GAME was stolen, and that the “UK Nintendo Store has stock but UK physical retail is barren — all preorders cancelled across the board.”
