Hideo Kojima says that we aren’t getting some remastered, retooled, refried version of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater in the upcoming 3DS re-release, due out in Japan on March 8, 2012. The game creator recently met with Japanese press and said that Snake Eater 3D would be a full remake, created from scratch and optimized for the 3DS hardware.

While I’m up for any configuration that gives me Snake Eater in portable form, it’s nice to know that Kojima wants more for this game. These flat ports are making me tired.
