By now, you’ve likely encountered a bunch of Fletcher Kane’s henchmen patrolling POIs around Fortnite’s map. However, while these guys don’t pose much of a problem, the Baron’s Alpha Heavy henchmen are a different story. If you’re not prepared for them, they can eliminate you with just a few attacks.

How to find Alpha Heavy henchmen in Fortnite

Alpha Heavy henchmen are more powerful versions of regular henchmen that spawn during Fortnite’s bank vault heists and around Forecast Towers. One bank heist will spawn up to two Alpha Heavy henchmen, while Forecast Towers has at least one for you to defeat.

Alpha Heavy henchmen are much larger and taller than their regular counterparts. They also wear red and black armor to differentiate themselves and wield a powerful shotgun. Their weapon choice lets them focus on hard-hitting burst shots over the weaker but fast-paced hits from more common henchmen. Combine both, and you’ve got some challenging enemies to face, especially early in your match when you have limited weapons and resources to use.

How to eliminate Alpha Heavy henchmen in Fortnite

Fortnite’s Alpha Heavy henchmen have noticeably higher health points than their regular variants, acting as mini-bosses that prevent you from completing your bank heists. They also have a shield pool to shred through before damaging them.

Aside from consistent shotgun blasts, Alpha Heavy henchmen have no special abilities to note. However, since the shotgun’s damage can easily defeat you even with shields active, your best bet is to either tank the shots and inflict damage quickly enough to outpace the henchmen or hide behind pillars and attack whenever the enemy pauses. They may not wield a Mythic-tier shotgun, but it still packs a punch.

During Fortnite’s Wanted: Baron quests, you’ll have an objective to collect orders from Alpha Heavy henchmen. Progressing in this mission requires picking up a binder of paperwork from each henchman you defeat. Without this, you won’t get any credit for the quest, even if you defeat these enemies from start to finish. You’ll also get an uncommon-tier shotgun for each Alpha Heavy henchman you defeat, giving you another weapon option during your match.
