Ginger Island is a secondary location in Stardew Valley, containing a long list of features, quests and areas to explore. Unfortunately, to unlock the entire island, and discover all of its hidden secrets, you’ll need to first find and then spend Golden Walnuts.

There are a total of 130 Golden Walnuts to be found across Ginger Island, and unlocking each new area of the island requires a set number of Walnuts. The largest number of walnuts is required to unlock Qi’s Walnut Room, where you can earn exclusive rewards.

If you’re struggling to find any of the remaining Golden Walnuts, you can always pay the Golden Joja Parrot to locate the stragglers for you.

In total, you’ll need 116 Golden Walnuts to unlock all of the different areas on Ginger Island. The remaining 14 Walnuts can be exchanged inside Qi’s Walnut Room to gain extra Qi Gems.

To unlock these new areas, you’ll need to hand over a fixed number of Golden Walnuts to a Parrot in a certain area.
