Help me space cops, space cops help

Want to go to space? Want to float around in space and look at space and generally take in the spaciness of it all? Want to do that with an Oculus Rift? Want to be the best at space?

Well, you can’t just yet because Adr1ft isn’t out until early next year. We do have the next best thing though, this nine-minute-long gameplay trailer.

Adr1ft throws you into a shattered space station, with your aim to be to explore and try and find a way to get back home. The entire game takes place in zero-gravity, and you’ll have to contend with dwindling oxygen supplies, as well as a billion other ways space can kill you.

The footage up top appears to be a new portion of the game we haven’t seen yet, as Adam Orth of developer Three One Zero has also uploaded footage that looks very similar to what we already saw at E3. Despite that, it’s still 18 minutes of zero-g and frankly distracting breathing noises for you to enjoy.

Adr1ft will be a launch title for the Oculus Rift in Q1 2016, but a non-VR version will be available at the same time. The PS4 and Xbox One versions of it will follow afterwards, but no date has been announced yet.
