It’s far more than a basic port

Slowly but surely, I’m coming around on Hyrule Warriors Legends.

I put over a hundred hours into the original game on Wii U. I loved it. But I eventually hit that point where all of a sudden I didn’t even want to think about it, much less continue playing.

When the 3DS version was announced, I thought it was a smart move on Nintendo’s part, and great news for players who are coming in fresh, but I had no interest. In the months since, we’ve learned just how expansive Legends is (which is to say: very).

There are new characters, costumes, bosses, weapons, story missions, and maps. This game is huge! And it’s becoming tough to resist. I mean, good lord, there’s a new feature in which you raise a fairy, complete with stats and everything. I didn’t even know I wanted that, but I do.

Dare I start over? This is a decision straight out of What Dreams May Come.
