The Way Into the Mountain in Genshin Impact is one of the first World Quests in the Collective of Plenty. It is a part of the Chosen of Dragons series and will help you find a way to the Sacred Mountain.

Here’s a simple guide on how to complete The Way Into the Mountain quest in Genshin Impact.

Go to the Statue of The Seven in the “Collective of Plenty” and head southwest until you find two NPC kids with “???” over their heads. The quest marker is also already available on the map, so it is easy to track them. At any rate, interact with the kids to start The Way Into the Mountain quest. Once you’re done talking to them, you will get 2 optional sub-objectives, but you only have to do 1.

Find a way into the Sacred Mountain

Follow the navigation and head to the quest location in Fallingstar Fields. Once there, you will trigger another quest titled Investigator of Ancient Ruins. You must complete this quest since it is connected with The Way Into the Mountain and will help you find the way to the Sacred Mountain.

After starting the Investigator of Ancient Ruins, defeat the Hilichurl enemies and save the NPCs before interacting with them.

Clear the Abyssal Monsters from the ruins

Once you’re done talking to the NPCs, head towards the ruins and defeat all the enemies before interacting with the Spiritscone to indwell a Tatankasaur. Next, follow the small passage on the left side of the ruins until you reach a dead end. Exit the Saurian form and jump through the small hole in the ground to enter the ruins.

Head deeper into the ruins until you reach a large chamber with several Hilichurls and Exquisite Chests. Next, defeat the mobs and interact with the chests. Doing so will spawn multiple waves of Abyss enemies. Quickly defeat them to get 2 Precious Chests and 1 Exquisite Chest reward.

Talk to the tribespeople

Exit the ruins and talk to Nzaya and Kimosi near the entrance. This will trigger another long cutscene and conclude both The Way Into the Mountain and Investigator of Ancient Ruins quests in Genshin Impact.

You will be rewarded with 30 Primogems and the Spirited Eruption achievement for completing these quests.
