Genshin Impact: A Brief History of Rocks quest walkthrough

A Brief History of Rocks in Genshin Impact is a part of the main quest chain in Atocpan. The quest itself is pretty simple, as you only have to break some Pulverites and touch the Iridescent Inscriptions.

Screenshot by DestructoidA Brief History of Rocks is one of the two quests that you must finish to complete The Way Into the Mountain quest. You can start by going to the Remnants of Tetenanco and talking to the nameless NPC near the teleport waypoint. He will ask you to clear all the rocks around the ruins.
Clear away the Pulverite
Screenshot by DestructoidInteract with a Tatankasaur Spiritscone and use its charge ability to destroy all the Pulverite around the ruins. Doing so will reveal 4 Iridescent Inscriptions.
Touch the Iridescent Inscriptions
Screenshot by Destructoid Screenshot by DestructoidTouch all the Iridescent Inscriptions near the ruin, excluding the one near the light wall:
- Inscription #1 – It is located southeast of the sealed ruin.
- Inscription #2 – South of the sealed ruin.
- Inscription #3 – Near the liquid Phlogiston (lava).
When you collect the Iridescent Inscription near the liquid Phlogiston, a Fluid Avatar of Lava will spawn. You must defeat it to access the Inscription and touch it again. Once that is done, a cutscene will begin, and the light wall on the ruin will disappear.
