Yet another Gears of War retail package is on the cards, it seems. GameStop recently listed — and then de-listed — Gears of War Ultimate as releasing on February 15, 2011 for $29.99.
While the name might not be final, Microsoft did confirm to IGN “a forthcoming bundle SKU involving the Gears franchise.” The representative specifically mentioned that Gears of War 3 is not involved in this.
That makes it sound like a possible bundling of the first two installments with all of those downloadable maps, although we don’t know for sure. The fact that Microsoft was willing to comment on a retailer listing makes me think an announcement may not be far off.
