Doom‘s multiplayer will be receiving a free update, soon, which will add deathmatch to the selection of game modes. Private matches are also coming, allowing players to tweak settings to their liking. Users can opt to turn off demon powers and change whether power weapons spawn or not.

Bethesda uploaded a teaser trailer for the update along with a message that a livestream will be held on September 13 to showcase the new options. The stream will run at 2:00 pm EST and will be on Twitch.

I recently just finished Doom and I rather enjoyed it. The game mixes old-school level design with some incredible polish and modern RPG-lite elements. It may not be the absolute best update to such a seminal classic, but the game more than lives up to the hype.
