Square Enix is still going forward with Dissidia Final Fantasy, which is constantly getting new updates in Japanese arcades in the form of fighters and levels. Following up on Alexandria and Garland, the team has announced that a new character will be revealed on June 27 at 21:00 JST. The stream will also deal with information regarding an official tournament this summer, and balance changes.

Many are speculating that another villain is going to join the fray given that Garland opened the gates for Chaos characters. As far as Chaos goes in past games, there’s the Emperor, Cloud of Darkness, Golbez, Sepiroth, Kefka, Exdeath, Ultimecia, Jecht, and Kuja. Of course new fighters could be in the cards (like Ramza), but my guess is Square wants to get the old roster set first.
