Games about pregnancy are more popular than ever. Even the Minions are getting in on the act. Though most of these games are fairly disturbing, few of them are intentionally so. Devastated Dreams, a spiritual sequel to Neverending Nightmares, breaks the pregnancy game mold in in that way and a few others. It combines folklore from the Philippines with a particular kind of body horror that goes beyond where most games are willing to tread. The image of a demon inserting a mouth-tongue into a pregnant woman’s abdomen to presumably devour her unborn baby is pretty darn disturbing. There are also babies that can eat people, which I suppose is fair.   

Devastated Dreams is up on Kickstarter right now, with a free demo to boot, so if you want to see how bad the game can make you feel right now, today’s your lucky day.
