Who’s that Pokémon?

The Japanese Pokémon Twitter account has announced where the spotlight will land for its upcoming 7-star raids for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. It’s Decidueye! The dashing bird-of-prey and final evolution of Rowlet, one of the original starter critters from Pokémon Sun and Moon.

You’ll have two opportunities to bag this owl:

  • March 16, 7pm EST to March 19th 6:59pm EST
  • March 23, 7pm EST to March 26th 6:59pm EST

Since Decidueye and its earlier forms aren’t part of Paldea’s Pokedex, this will be the first opportunity players will get to add it to the pile. Beyond that, this Decidueye will be unique as it comes as a flying tera type. As much as I didn’t love Pokémon Sun and Moon, it offered a pretty memorable selection of starters. Rowlet was my pick, if only because Decidueye is a rather striking final form.

Pokemon Scarlet & Violet are available now on Nintendo Switch.
