Complete Black and White Kyurem raid guide for Pokemon GO, all counters

With Black and White Kyurem coming to Pokémon GO for all players as part of the Unova Global event, the two legendary forms are already proving popular. Both are epically strong, and each is worth getting, but you’ll need to defeat them before you can get your own.

Black and White Kyurem weaknesses in Pokémon GO
All Pokémon have their strengths and weaknesses, and Black and White Kyurem are no different. As dual Dragon and Ice-type Pokémon, they are both weak to Dragon, Fairy, Fighting, Rock, and Steel-type attacks. That presents a huge number of possible allies for your team when taking them on.
In terms of their resistance, Black and White Kyurem will withstand Electric, Grass, and Water-type attacks for hours on end while sustaining very little damage, so Pokémon with those types of attacks should sit this one out.
Black and White Kyurem Raid Guide
Image by DestructoidBlack and White Kyurem are both formidable foes, with a massive 56,009 CP each. It’s safe to say taking either one of them on is going to prove challenging, but it’s not impossible to get it done with just two players if their setup is on point and leveled up sufficiently. However, it’s best to go into this with at least 3-5 trainers or more if you don’t have an ideal collection of counters to take with you.
By default, Black Kyurem will absolutely decimate any Pokémon that are weak to both Dragon and Ice-type attacks, so those are best avoided going into a Raid with it. White Kyurem, on the other hand, is the strongest Ice-type Pokémon currently in Pokémon GO, so it’s best to avoid anything with a weakness to Ice-type attacks.
Thankfully, you don’t need to worry about changing your setup between fights, as both Black and White Kyurem have near-identical counters. If you want to build up a strong team, here are the best counters for both Black and White Kyurem (ordered from strongest to “still strong but not ideal”):
