We Happy Few grabbed us with its announcement trailer, but it wasn’t until PAX East this year that I got to run through an early build. I had to literally run, because the crazed inhabitants of Wellington Wells kept chasing me with malicious looks in their eyes and those creepy plastered-on smiles. I ended by jumping out of a high window and dying. Good times.

Compulsion’s psychedelic, procedurally generated survival game is now up on Kickstarter with a base funding goal of $201,353. Backers at $60 CAD or above (about $48 USD) will gain access to what PAX East attendees had for a few short days in Boston: a pre-alpha version of the game.

To help kick off the crowdfunding campaign, Compulsion will be streaming We Happy Few starting at 9:30 Pacific time.
