Catapult for Hire sends its jetpack bunnies to PAX

Probably its fishing parachute robot cannonballs too
Recommended VideosAt first glance, Catapult for Hire isn’t much to look at. Developer PixelMEGA describes it as a “mix of gameplay that hearkens back to N64 era fun,” and the influence is clearly there in the graphics. However, if you watch the video above, you can see a really unique set of ideas that makes absolutely no sense in the best way possible. Attach a rocket to a rabbit, fire it from your catapult, and use it to explore new areas. Then, drop a lure into the water and catch a fish. What?
Designer Tyrone Henrie cites Pilotwings, The Legend of Zelda: the Ocarina of Time, and Worms as influences for his ballistics-based exploration game. Yeah, I can see that. It’s also giving me a bit of a Kirby’s Dream Course vibe, but perhaps that’s just me. Catapult for Hire will be at PAX Prime 2013, so you can expect some hands-on coverage of it soon.
