Capcom's Nazo Waku Yakata trailer is creeping me out

Capcom has released the first video for Nazo Waku Yakata, releasing in Japan this summer for the Nintendo 3DS. It’s an adventure game that seeks to use quite a few of the new handheld’s features in gameplay, including the cameras, motion sensor and microphone.
I get a terrible vibe from this trailer, a combination of the silly and the sinister reminiscent of Gene Wilder in the boat ride of Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. If you have headphones on hand, you’ll want them for the first segment of the video which shows off the 3D audio effect Nazo Waku Yakata will be using.
Normally, I’d say this is too weird to come to America. But with Capcom releasing games like Ghost Trick in the west, maybe there’s hope. It sounds like the kind of experience that’s uniquely possible on the 3DS and I’m greatly looking forward to seeing some of those around.
