Capcom expects the Resident Evil 2 remake to fall into its “million-seller” category, and once production has wrapped, the company will look to follow it up with more remakes and re-releases.

Responding to an investor question about the topic, Capcom said “[RE2] was received very well at E3, and in order to tie this first success to actual sales we are working out our promotional strategy. Further, regarding remakes and rereleases of titles in our back catalog, we expect to explore these further with a variety of properties as a part of our strategy to utilize our library of IP.”

With the way Resident Evil 2 is shaping up so far, I’d be perfectly fine with more of its ilk, but I also can’t help feeling like a certain survival horror game with dinosaurs could be a prime candidate.
