Cyberpunk 2077 hit with another small delay, but it'll still launch before the year's over

Three more weeks
Recommended VideosJust because a game goes gold doesn’t mean it’s immune to delays. It’s rare, but the long-awaited Cyberpunk 2077 is an example.
Minutes ago, CD Projekt Red announced that it’s delaying Cyberpunk 2077 by three weeks. Originally set to launch on November 19, it’s now scheduled for December 10. It’ll still be here before the year’s out.

CD Projekt Red points to challenges juggling current- and next-gen systems all at once as the prevalent factor forcing the delay. “The biggest challenge for us right now is shipping the game on current-gen, next-gen, and PC at the same time, which requires us to prepare and test nine versions of it while working from home,” the developer says. The message continues “We’re aware it might seem unrealistic when someone says that 21 days can make any difference in such a massive and complex game, but they really do.”
The timeline on Cyberpunk 2077 has always been super hazy. Years went by where we didn’t hear anything about the game. Then it was eventually announced to be launching in April 2020. That was pushed back to September. Then the November date we were expecting. What’s three more weeks at this point?
Shout-out to this poor soul. Full confirmation!
