BerserkBoy Games announces Berserk B.I.T.S, an auto-battler with a productive twist

Berserk Boy developer BerzerkBoy Games has announced its second game: Berserk B.I.T.S. Unlike its action platformer with Metroidvania elements, this game is an ide-RPG, auto-battler, chip-collecting game you can run in the background as you go about your day.
Recommended VideosBerserk B.I.T.S is far more reminiscent of Rusty’s Retirement or old idle indie and browser games you could leave running all day while you work on something else. Essentially, the game is designed not to be played, at least not in the traditional sense. It sits in a small desktop window that you can occasionally interact with, but should be ignored most of the time. After a few hours of research or writing, you can return to it to reap your rewards and set your B.I.T. up to head out again.
Improve your productivity with Berserk B.I.T.S
Berserk B.I.T.S‘s gameplay loop lets you set up your B.I.T. and send it out to the internet to battle viruses and collect Chips. Then, once they return, you can organize your Chips, use any currency earned to customize your home, and send them out to do it all again.
For the most part, you’ll be moving your B.I.T. from place to place and deploying them on missions. However, the Chips it collects can be used in real-time, meaning you’ll have some sway during combat if you can see that your B.I.T. isn’t quite going to win.
BerserkBoy Games plans to launch the game in early access during 2024 and support it with new features, biomes, and much more over time. Long-term support is a big feature of this game because it’s part of a small but growing genre of ide productivity titles that have meaty content for you to dig into but require you to spend a lot of time working to make the most of them.
Over time, and with feedback from the community, the developer will add new language versions and features that fans request. There really is no better way to improve your game than to get it into the hands of fans.
As someone who has played a lot of the idle farming game Rusty’s Retirement, I’m eager for the combat and focus on RPG elements in Berserk B.I.T.S because they’ll make it feel a bit more exciting each time I return to it. You can wishlist the game right now to keep up to date with tis exact release date and all news as it’s announced.
