When I didn’t hear anything about the Wii Vitality Sensor this year at E3, I guessed that Nintendo was hoping we’d just kind of forget about it. Maybe they still are. But someone asked, so they had to talk.

Nintendo’s Cammie Dunaway told Game Set Watch that Nintendo is “continuing to work on the Vitality Sensor.” They would have talked about it (yeah, right), but they had too much other stuff to show off, they say. Like a little finger sensor would have stolen the limelight away from the 3DS and a new Zelda game.

“We decided we’d think about other venues that would be more appropriate,” Cammie said. “[E3] is noisy and adrenaline-filled, and loud and stressful, and it just didn’t seem like the best environment to introduce a product that’s really about relaxing.”

Nice one! 10/10 for quick and crafty spin.
