It’s ‘more of a schoolyard chant’

Gravity Ghost is finally seeing release on Jan 26th, and as a reminder, it’s still not too late to take advantage of the game’s 33% off pre-order sale. You get an extra copy for pre-ordering too, so it’s worth going in on with a friend if you’re feeling sheepish.

The game is primarily about providing “Eureka!” moments to the player through a delightful physics system and tough-but-fair puzzle-platforming. Hopefully people wont miss that beneath the brilliant mechanics and level design is a sad, funny, and serenely strange story, filled with memorable characters and surprising moments. Before creating Gravity Ghost, designer Erin Robinson wrote both Adventure Games and a newspaper comic strip. She’s got storytelling in her blood, and that seeps into her new game in many interesting ways.

Ashly Burch (Borderlands 2, Attack on Titan, Persona Q, HAWP) plays many characters in the game, including the titular Gravity Ghost and the giant blue mouse seen above. She reportedly pulled of her performance here in one take. There is a reason why no matter how many videos I make for Dtoid, I’ll always feel like I’m in the shadow of Ash and Anthony. They are just so good at this stuff.
