Arma 2 gets 1.62 patch, multitude of fixes in multiplayer

Well, with a renewed interest in Arma 2 (that thing you bought so you could play DayZ), Bohemia Interactive has released the 1.62 patch update for said game. There’s quite a bit of fixes that not only help stabilize the large-scale military battles (as well as adding new video options and script commands for content makers), but most importantly this update helps makes “zombie hunts” less prone to crashing.
It’s been quite awhile since I’ve seen a developer tailor a patch for their game to an insanely popular community mod. Not only that, but it’s been awhile since I’ve seen a game be revived because of a mod. Arma 2: Combined Operations has been selling like crazy for the past two months. Really awesome to see.
To get the patch, just head over to Arma 2‘s official site and download it there. Once that’s all finished, you can see the full list of patch notes in the README file that’s included.
