The headline kind of says it all, huh? Amazon has just started selling League of Legends currency. That happened, like, minutes ago. Isn’t the Information Superhighway great?

Anyway, that League money is available in $10, $25, $50, and $100 denominations. Those are the links to the Amazon pages in case you feel like picking some up right meow. The currency gets delivered as a code to redeem on your Riot account.

This isn’t a post to announce some sort of amazing savings. The codes aren’t on sale currently, but never say never. These are the types of things that are occasionally discounted, meaning that since you’re buying currency on the cheap, you’re practically making money when you buy them. Or something. All I remember from high school economics is “TINSTAAFL” and the teacher reading the lunch menu.

The true intent of this post is to give you a chance to win some League of Legends bucks. To promote the occasion, Amazon hooked us up with almost $1,000 worth of codes to give away to you. Well, not one of you, but 19 of you. We have 4 to 5 codes for each of the $10, $25, $50, and $100 tiers. If you win, they’ll be sent via email, not drone.

Here’s what I want from you: Make up a League of Legends Champion and describe it using your words. If you feel the burning desire to be extra creative, draw something in Paint and post it in the comments. On the off-chance that you want to be extra boring and bad, just tell us who your favorite current Champion is, you boring and bad person.

I’m putting Mike Martin in charge of picking winners. He is the Patron Saint of Destructoid Contests now that Andy went the way of Rasputin. Mike will drone email you if you win, and then you can do an embarrassing happy dance at your desk that will earn you some side-eye from everyone else in the room.
