Dragon Ball Super

Dragon Ball hasn’t had a live TV series since the 90s, but that’s about to change with Dragon Ball Super, a brand new show on the way to Fuji TV in Japan in July — and given how popular the series is all over the world, it will likely make its way overseas at some point. It will take place a few years after Majin Buu has been defeated, and Akira Toriyama is confirmed to be heavily involved again as the creator of the new series.

How is this game related? Well, as you probably know, the Dragon Ball series is linked hand-in-hand with constant videogame releases, all the way from the Super Cassette Vision and the NES to Dragon Ball XenoVerse today. You can bet that as soon as Super debuts there will be a new game sub-franchise (or two) in the works.

The Japanese name, Dragon Ball Chō [Super], was even partially chosen because of how often the word chō was used in game advertisements.
