No Man’s Sky has seen a healthy spike in its player count, and you can improve your experience with the help of the game’s official Discord.

The official Discord, directly managed by Hello Games, is the largest social media community for the game (apart from its subreddit). You can take help from other players, chat with them, and learn more about the game on Discord. It also doesn’t cost a dime to join and get the experience, which makes it a must-have if you are a returning player enjoying Voyagers or someone new.

How to join the official No Man’s Sky Discord?

The process of joining Discord is pretty easy, and all you need is a free account. You can either use the browser version or the PC app, which has to be downloaded first.

You can join the Discord by clicking here. Once you click on it, you’ll be able to gain access to the Discord server. If you’re using a mobile device, it’s preferable to have the Discord app installed on it to make the process easy.

After you join the Discord, you’ll find several channels on the left side of your screen. These channels serve their respective purpose, but you must accept the server rules first. This will open your access to the other channels. Here are my favorite ones.

  • The No Man’s Sky channel under general allows you to speak with other members of the community. You can discuss gameplay elements with them to know and learn more. A dedicated help channel can be found just below, which is more focused on the inquiries you might have. This is extremely helpful if you’re new to the game.
  • The NMS Corvette channel is highly useful if you’re yet to find your way in the new Voyagers update. This channel is dedicated specifically to the Corvette-class spaceships that have been added to the game in the latest update.
  • The mods channel is great if you’re on PC and want to expand the limitations of the vanilla experience. There are plenty of great mod files that are available on the internet, and you can come across new ones in the channel.

No Man’s Sky is quite fun when playing with friends in groups. The Discord server is a great place to look for like-minded friends to play with. There are plenty of public sessions that you can join to either explore the universe or complete Expedition 19, which rewards you with your own customizable Corvette-class spaceships.
