Shotaro Ishinomori’s The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past comic for Nintendo Power (RIP) was a few years before my time. But, a quick Google image search later, I can confirm that it’s as cool-looking and expressive as everyone says. Expensive, too — but not for much longer.

Viz Media plans to release a reprint of the comic on May 5, 2015. Pre-orders will open on Monday.

Lot of fond memories, from the sound of it. I’m excited to make new ones. Artwork like this helped bring games to life in a way that the sprite art of the time, nice as much of it was, simply couldn’t.
