With Minecraft set to release on 11/11/11, the team at Mojang is pitching an all-out MinecraftCon, where the final release would be pushed out dramatically on stage “or something.” It’s to take place in Las Vegas, if it does take place at all. That’s where you come in.

They’re running a poll to see if this is worth pursuing or not. The big question is: would you pay $90 to attend? “There’d be contests (costume, speed building, whatever else), Q&A sessions, parties and awesome food and such. This would be a great opportunity to both celebrate the release, and to meet the fans up close again.”

While not the type of get-together I’d personally be interested in attending, the more opportunities for gamers to interact on this grand scale, the better.
