I don’t know what it is but I need it

Now that the secret’s out for Frog Fractions (unless you haven’t played it already in which case, you know what you must do), creator Jim Crawford will have a heck of a time surprising us with a sequel. But I think he can do it. He thinks he can do it, too:

“Frog Fractions 2 will evoke that same feeling even more strongly. I can’t describe what I’m going to make in detail, but I can tell you that I’ve been thinking about how to properly follow up Frog Fractions for the past year, and I believe I can make something genuinely awesome.”

Crawford is seeking $60,000 in crowdfunding, with plenty of stretch goals to follow if demand is there. The sequel, which won’t be called Frog Fractions 2, will be “considerably larger in scope” and require “many play sessions” to discover its full secrets. Unlike its predecessor, this will not be a free, browser-based title — it’ll see a full release on PC, Mac, and Linux.

It should also be said that the game’s soundtrack is shaping up to blow minds. Ben Prunty, DannyB, Disasterpeace, Francisco Cerda, and many other notable contributors are on board.
